Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called SPY craft. For this activity we could make our own secret code. You have to create your own secret code and write a secret message into that code. My favourite part of this activity was planning my secret sentence and changing them into my secret code, but that the hard point because I have to use a lo’t of time to change into different letters and make them into a word.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Long Place Name. For this activity we have to explore some long place names and fill the information into a slide. one of the things I learned from this activity was that the longest place name is called “Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu” and it’s from Hawkes Bay in New Zealand, it translate into”The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the slider, climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his kōauau to his loved one.”
After that we have to list out 4 places that we want to go to, my first one is Fujian(a city in China) because that is my hometown and I miss my family and friends so much(PS; this dream is going to become true this year).
The second place I want to go to is Beijing(capital of China) It has lots of things that I want to explore like the great wall, The Palace Museum, Tienanmen square…
My third place that I want to go to is Russia because I thought Russia was cool and I wanted to have a look at the famous building”st. basil’s cathedral.” The fourth place I want to go is Hawaii because that’s a good place for holidays and relaxing.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Kowhai drawing. For this activity we have to create our own drawing about Kowhai trees, but before that we have to watch how to draw a Kowhai tree and read some facts about Kowhai trees. Three facts I learned from this activity was that Kowhai trees are a type of small woody legumes of the genus Sophora in the Fabaceae family, also it have 8 different species of Kowhai and it all native to New Zealand. I first drew the outline of a kowhai tree but I also drew a fantail on the tree branch so it won’t look that empty and boring. After that I colouring in my drawing and added some detail for it.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Artistic Maths. For this activity we have to create a Pursuit square out of a Google drawing’s poly-lines. What we have to do is keep making the size of squares until you can’t make anymore squares. After that we get to put on some colours, I chose yellow, orange and green because these 3 are my favourite colours( PS. especially yellow). one thing I thought was hard was trying to make the same distance for each gap on each side.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Geometry Art. For this activity we have to create our own geometry art. to make the art the we have to include 4 circles with dots in them, a equilateral triangle, two right angles, three parallel lines, two perpendicular lines, one acute triangle and one obtuse triangle. After that we got to colour in our art, I chose yellow, red, orange and black because I thought those 4 colours would fit well. My favourite part of this activity was drawing the shapes but one thing I thought hard was colouring because I’m trying to make the colours spread out so the same colour won’t be adjacent to each other.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Minecraft Pixel Art. For this activity we have created a self portrait of yourself. I chose to create my portrait in 32×32, so first I made the background with some white blocks and then I made the outline of my face with some blocks that I think are the closest to my skin colour. After that I made the outline of my 5 facial features (eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouse and ears), at the end I fill in the colours and I also fill in my hairs. I also try to use different blocks for my portrait, for my nostrils I place a dragon egg in front of a black concrete and also i use the trap doors as a black gape for my teeth.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called “learn a different language”. For this activity we have to watch the New Zealand Sign Language Alphabet video and then we get to play a memory game about Sign Language vowels. My favourite part of this activity was playing the game but it was a bit hard.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called “Summer Graphic Design Project”. For this activity we have to design our own Summer post card and I chose my post card to be something about fishing and surfing. So first I drew a wharf and then I drew a fishing man sitting on the wharf. Then I drew a giant wave with a person surfing on a surfboard, next I drew a light-blue sea surface and a dark-blue underworld sea because now you could compare the difference between the surface and the underworlds sea. I also drew a giant sun which stands for hot and the title; “Summer…” The one thing I thought was hard was drawing the giant waves because I want to make a realistic wave of affection.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Sing Without Sound which is about Sign Languages. Sign Language is a communication language by using hands for people who are deaf. For this activity we have to watch the New Zealand Sign Language Alphabet video and then complete a letter matching activity. My favourite part of this activity was learning different letters in Sign Language but it was a bit hard. This reminds me of when it was sign language week me and my friend were trying to introduce ourselves in sign language.

Kia Ora. This SLJ activity is called Hundertwasser Art. Hundertwasser Art is an art that formed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser which made of different wavy lines, spirals… For this activity we have to make our own Hundertwasser Art using Google draw or pen and paper. I chose to use paper and pens because I thought it would be easier. Also we have to create the art by including 4 techniques that Friedensreich Hundertwasser often uses, lollipop trees, onion domes, raindrops and no straight lines because Friedensreich Hundertwasser felt straight lines were ungodly. My favourite part of this activity was colouring the image with different colours but one thing I thought hard was drawing the lollipop tree’s texture.
